Print n plays

These games are all hosted on Itch.io. (I intend to archive them here at some point.)

I really enjoy the print n play format and like seeing what other artists create with it. Everest Pipkin's The ground itself is an incredible place to start. As is stuff by David Blandy, Edwin Evans-Thirlwell and Nick Murray's Local Water.

Dungeon Mountain

Dungeon Mountain is a tabletop dungeon crawler for two players.

The object of the game is to escape the other player's dungeon.

Each player creates a dungeon on an 8x8 grid. This contains a starting point and exit point. A class system can be used to predict the difficulty of a dungeon allowing for fair play or else to create a handicap for games between players of different experience.

Players place several items throughout the dungeon. These are Big Monsters, Small Monsters, Traps, Hammers and Gems. The position of these items does not change during gameplay.

Combat with Monsters is decided with attack points that are assigned when the monsters are placed.

On a second blank grid the players are given the starting coordinates. Players then navigate their opponents dungeon by calling out directions. Players continue their turn until they attempt a move into a wall or certain items. As they progress the players mark their progress on the grids.

The winner is the first player to exit the dungeon. Number of lives used, monsters defeated and items collected can also be counted as points.

Dungeon Mountain: Song of the Mountain

In Song of The Mountain, you play as an explorer attempting to find the secret Song of The Mountain.

Each time you play you will explore a new dungeon and reveal a new verse from the Song of The Mountain.

This version of the game has been made quite hastily for the Isolation Jam. If you have any comments, feel free to add them below, and I'll try to respond. Happy to update the rules and rebalance the difficulty.

Dicey Road

The object of the game is to direct dice to their homes one by one by crossing a busy road full of speeding dice.

The rules are written here, or they can be downloaded using the link. The .pdf contains images showing how moves are made as well as a template board. You can also download the board separately if preferred.

Like any of my print & play's it was thought up pretty quick and hasn't received a whole lot of testing. It did feel quite fun though, so I hope you enjoy it, or it makes enough sense that you can tweak it into something you do enjoy!

It is best played with at least two players and a good supply of D6 dice.

Car Game

Car Game is based on the classic pen and paper, Racetrack.

This version includes a map that allows continuous play across different environments including CITY, DESERT, INDUSTRIAL, RACETRACK.

Basic gameplay rules are included. Car Game offers some innovative rules that allow for exciting STREET RACING action! Customise these rules to create your own speed demons. Different rules apply for track racing, which allows for even faster driving and exciting OVERTAKING, SLIPSTREAM action!

I recommend you just print a couple of pages as needed!

May the road rise up to meet your tyres!

Got Grits

A 2-player live action rootin-tootin, ro-sham-bo-ing shootout.

Download the pdf rulebook to keep, print n' share .

It's a bit like rock, paper, scissors, except you role-play as western gunslingers, only you don't use guns, you use your fingers.
