Loom Cat Webring

Loom Cat Webring is a webring for Luddites and cats. What does a luddite website look like? Can you Ludd online? I have links to Luddite resources on /luddites. This page will also serve as the index of the Loom Cat Webring.

Cat Loom Webring Index

The script is a modified version of allium house's onionring.js.

If you'd like to add your site to the webring please email me gg[at]bruise.in

To participate you'll just need to be able to directly edit your website html.

See below for instructions on installing. If you are an organiser of events, I run a small webring building workshop which is highly accessible and a fun way to spend a few hours.

When you have been added to the list you will need to add these snippets of code to the page where you would like the webring links to appear:

             <div id='loomcatwr'>
             <script type="text/javascript" src="https://bruise.in/luddring/onionring-variables.js"></script>
             <script type="text/javascript" src="https://bruise.in/luddring/onionring-widget.js"></script>

You can also include this in the section of the page:

             <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://bruise.in/luddring/onionring.css">

Visit allium house's page to find out more about modifying the webring and building your own.

onion-ring.js is distributed under the cooperative non-violent license (CNPL) v4+, "which means, roughly, that anyone is allowed to download, change and share the files as long as you don't use them for purposes that hurt other people."

Night Walk (hibernating webring)

For a while I hosted a webring called night walk. This was an experimental webring that only appears for visitors between their local times of 12 midnight and 3 am. Part of the idea was that participating sites might have different styling during these hours or other content visible. Consider it in hibernation at the moment - but I'll happily open it back up if anyone is interested.

The image for the Night Walk webring is a dithered (via ditherit.com) version of the photograph from Viking 1 of Cydonia on Mars.
